The new map from BioRegio STERN Management GmbH offers an up-to-date overview of 300 companies, institutes and service providers in the life sciences sector. Engineering businesses are now included for the first time alongside biotechnology and medical technology companies.

BioRegio STERN Management GmbH has been running its skill-sharing network and providing a help and advice centre for founders of new businesses, entrepreneurs and researchers from the life sciences sector in the cities of Stuttgart, Tübingen, Esslingen and Reutlingen and the Neckar-Alb and Stuttgart regions since 2001. The updated map delivers a detailed overview of companies in the biotechnology and medical technology sectors, institutes and service providers. The latest update now also includes 39 engineering companies. Their presence reflects the success of the cluster initiative “Engineering – Life Sciences – Automation” (ELSA), which has set itself the aim of promoting cooperation between companies in the automation and biotechnology sectors. “The list of 300 entries is certain proof that the region represents a national centre for the life sciences sector,” explains Dr. Klaus Eichenberg, Managing Director of BioRegio STERN.

The new map is also linked to the BioRegio-App and provides navigation-controlled, mobile access to the interactive corporate database. Users can make direct contact with cooperation partners, employers, suppliers and service providers simply by clicking on their individual company profiles.
