Wilhelmshilfe e.V.

Your partner for support, housing and care for the elderly

After its foundation as a children's rescue home in 1839 and its reorientation as an institution caring for the elderly in the post-war period, Wilhelmshilfe is now the largest provider of assistance to the elderly in the district of Göppingen.

In addition to seven inpatient care facilities in the surrounding area of Göppingen, Wilhelmshilfe operates two day care facilities, eleven residential facilities for senior citizens, an innovative living arrangement for senior citizens with an interactive assistance system, as well as a service for out-patients, a 24-hour centre with an attached home emergency call and a central kitchen.
With this wide range of support, Wilhelmshilfe is a competent partner for a self-determined and dignified life for people with assistance and care needs and their relatives.

As a member of the Diakonie association, Wilhelmshilfe's attitude is shaped by Christian values. Every member of staff supports people in their everyday lives wherever they need help. Living and working at Wilhelmshilfe stands for a good attitude towards life, respectful cooperation and mutual trust. The actions take into account the dignity of those affected and are oriented towards the lifestyle of the individual. The aim of holistic activating care is to promote and maintain the existing abilities of people in need of care. This ensures as much self-determination as possible.

In order to support self-determined living and remaining in one's own home as long as possible, Wilhelmshilfe is always on the lookout for new applications, also in the digital field. The daily work in care can also be supported by innovative approaches.

For example, the living concept "Wohnen im Alter 4.0" (Atrium), which received an award for innovation, uses Ambient Assisted Living (AAL). This is an age-appropriate assistance system that increases the quality of life for people through the use of intelligent environments and smart home technology (e.g.sensory helplessness detection).

Digitalisation will continue to play a major role in the search for solutions that relieve the daily burden on residents and staff.
