ViferaXS GmbH

ViferaXS GmbH is a clinical-stage spin-off of the University of Tübingen, founded in 2022. We develop off-the-shelf “T cell activators”: short courses of injections that train a patient’s own immune system to find and destroy cancer cells. Our technology combines two components discovered and developed in Tübingen over three decades: (1) tumour peptides that we have proven, by measuring them directly with mass spectrometry, to be displayed on the surface of cancer cells but not on healthy tissue; and (2) XS15, a proprietary water-soluble immune stimulator (a Toll-like receptor 1/2 ligand). Given under the skin two to three times, the combination activates both “killer”
(CD8+) and “helper” (CD4+) T cells, and these responses persist for years.
