Review of the Viewpoints • Medtech 2023
Yesterday, around 80 participants attended the Viewpoints - Medtech event at Lebenshilfe in Hechingen. First-hand reports were given and the analyses of BANSBACH ECONUM and Roland Berger were discussed in a relaxed atmosphere. In his keynote speech, Carsten Lehberg presented developments in the German medical technology sector. As an industry that implements digitalisation and artificial intelligence, this sector in particular offers enormous potential for improving medical care and is therefore a decisive factor for the successful further development of healthcare.
In order for innovative solutions to emerge and find their way into practical implementation, committed cooperation between science, business and clinical practice is required, as well as a reliable development framework that combines economic, social and ecological necessities. The Roland Berger Hospital Study 2023 was presented by Dr. Peter Magunia. The study surveyed managing directors and medical directors of the 600 largest hospitals in Germany. The participants represent the entire spectrum of the hospital landscape on the basis of turnover, number of employees, number of beds, ownership and the various levels of care. Once again this year, the survey provides up-to-date figures on the economic situation of hospitals.
