Metec Ingenieur GmbH was founded in 1974. In 1975, Metec launched the first lot of pocket calculators with a readout in Braille. Today, the company supplies a variety of Braille displays with piezo-electric actuators to customers worldwide. In 1998, Metec became a public limited company.
