The MBG Mittelständische Beteiligungsgesellschaft Baden-Württemberg is a publicly funded investment company. It invests 25,000-1 million euros in companies in the seed and start-up phase. It provides seed, start-up, innovative financing and venture capital - mostly in the form of silent partnerships. The MBG invests sector independent in future companies based in Baden-Württemberg.

MBG offers its portfolio companies a network of technical and industry knowledge, contacts to the high-tech Gründerfonds as well as to other VC firms, business angels and to regional high-tech initiatives. There is an active exchange and cooperation based on trust with all of these.

The MBG works closely with the guarantee bank Baden-Württemberg and is assisted in the promotion of SMEs by state and federal governments. So it can offer attractive conditions to founders. It is among the most equity investors in Germany. Currently it provides 1,062 companies in Baden-Württemberg with an equity of 309.4 million euros.
