Japanese-German Opening Symposium: Research and Industrialization of Advanced Biomaterials

International cooperations are invaluable to research organizations. For example, Fraunhofer IPA has maintained close contacts with research institutes and companies in the Far East for many years. With a new focus - processing biopolymers - the cooperation between Fraunhofer IPA and the most important research institution for applied research in Japan, the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology Kansai (AIST Kansai) in Japan, has been renewed. In this context, the Japanese engineering corporation SUGINO has entered into a strategic partnership with Fraunhofer IPA as an industrial partner.

Over the next 2 years, employees from IPA and SUGINO will be conducting joint research on this topic in the Dispersing Technology Center (ZDT) and Center for Particle Technology (ZPT). This cooperation will enable knowledge from research to be transferred to practical applications and profitably implemented. Not only does SUGINO have exceptional knowledge on the production of pastes and slurries for coating materials and storage systems, but also on processing biopolymers on an industrial scale.

Planned as both a live and virtual event, we cordially invite you to our “Japanese-German Opening Symposium: Research and Industrialization of Advanced Biomaterials” on 25 July 2022 from 9 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., Campus Stuttgart, Germany, followed by a snack.
