Clinical Application Specialist (m/f/d)

Curetis, is a molecular diagnostics company based in Holzgerlingen near Stuttgart, Germany, and a wholly-owned subsidiary of OpGen Inc (Gaithersburg, MD, USA – Nasdaq Ticker: OPGN – www.opgen.com), Curetis specializes in the development, manufacture and commercialization of reliable, fast and cost-effective solutions for the diagnosis of serious infections. Our Unyvero product line allows for the detection of pathological microorganisms and their antibiotic resistances in a variety of different patient samples within a few hours — a process that takes days or even weeks with other procedures. Cartridge-based tests for pneumonia as well as for implant and tissue infections, blood cultures, urinary tract infections and intra-abdominal infections are currently being manufactured and distributed internationally for the Unyvero platform. Curetis has an attractive R&D pipeline of novel platforms and tests.

At the earliest possible time, we are looking for a

Clinical Application Specialist (m/f/d)

working at our location in Holzgerlingen near Stuttgart, Germany. This is a permanent and could be in part time or as full time position.

Your Responsibilities...

  • Customer Support: 1st and 2nd level support and technical support
  • Customer Service: timely provide service to customers and as applicable distribution partners including but not limited to system installations and updates
  • Complaint Handling: Execute all customer/distribution partner facing aspects of the complaint handling process
  • Market Surveillance: systematically gather customer/distribution partner and market feedback and competitive e intelligence to support post market surveillance, product life cycle management
  • Study Report: Ensure adequate support of CE-IVD performance evaluations, post launch
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the development, implementation and continuous Improvement of lean, effective and compliant Customer Service & Support processes
  • Compliance: Comply with Curetis’ Code of Conduct and all applicable laws and regulation in the execution of CAS duties
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with distributors and other members of the Curetis team

Your Qualification & Experience…

  • A university degree in the natural sciences or a similar qualification (e.g. as a lab technologist) with 3-4 years of relevant  professional experience with IVD products
  • Professional experience in the field of microbiology and/or molecular biology applied to microbiology
  • Independent, structured and self-motivated way of working
  • Excellent communication skills, confident technique presentation
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Business oriented
  • Able to present clinical information to group of clinicians and laboratory staff
  • Team player with a hands-on mentality when focusing on customer requests
  • German native speaker and excellent spoken and written knowledge of English
  • The ability and willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
