Translumina GmbH was established in 2000 and since then has developed into a leading company in the production and development of innovative and biocompatible stent coatings.

Translumina has developed a coating system (YUKON®DES Drug Eluting Stent) and the Stent Coating Machine (SCM) for cardiac stents (vessel wall supports), which allow doctors to apply a customised medication coating to a stent, which is then inserted into the coronary vessels. The coating prevents occlusion and restenosis of the vessel. The active substance can be applied to the stent without the need for additional polymers.
