We invest in very small companies with big potential. TechnoStart is an independent venture capital organisation that has been operating since 1991. Its initial investments in any company are clearly focused on early stage investments in university spin-offs in the fields of applied physics, life sciences, chemistry and new materials.

Our investment team consists of natural scientists; our background in the natural sciences and engineering enables us to assess your business idea competently and quickly.

The cross-sectional technologies in which we are interested, serve as platforms for other technologies or products. They have the potential to sustainably change our client’s method of operation. Sometimes we invest in the completion of the scientific aspect of a project with the goal of accelerating the subsequent establishment of the technology platform and its commercialisation through products.
