Graduate School of Cellular & Molecular Neuroscience
Graduate School of Cellular & Molecular Neuroscience
The Graduate School of Cellular & Molecular Neuroscience was established at the University of Tübingen in 2007 through the joint efforts of the Medical School, the School of Biology and the School of Biochemistry & Pharmacy. It is strongly supported by the Hertie Institute for Clinical Brain Research, the Tübingen Centre of Neurodegenerative Diseases, the Centre for Integrative Neurosciences and the NMI Natural and Medical Sciences Institute at the University of Tübingen. The programme gives students (master/PhD) an interdisciplinary education in the neurosciences, with particular focus on the practical and theoretical training in the molecular and cellular biology of neurodegenerative diseases, mechanistic aspects of neural plasticity and neuroregeneration, basic mechanisms of learning and memory and modern microscopy methods. International students receive financial support (grants) from the programme’s cooperation partners, the Hertie Foundation and the Helmholtz Society. The Graduate School of Cellular & Molecular Neuroscience works closely with the Graduate School of Neural & Behavioural Sciences.
