Development Association

The Verein zur Förderung der Biotechnologie Stuttgart/Tübingen/Neckar-Alb e. V. (Society for the Promotion of Biotechnology Stuttgart/Tübingen/Neckar-Alb) works with BioRegio STERN Management GmbH to ensure the long-term status of the region as an outstanding location for biotechnology.

This includes organising events such as the international BioStar Congress. This regenerative biology event is held every two years in the STERN BioRegion, providing a forum for all key players and interested parties.

A further important task of the society is assisting the region’s applicants for the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research’s support programme BioChancePlus. Anyone wishing to apply receives guidelines from the society together with personal advice and assistance.

The society also supports the activities of all regional biotech partners - from universities and research institutes through to business promoters and companies. Anyone who has a good idea, product or project relating to biotechnology can rely on the society’s assistance.
